Yakir began his journey at Magen David Adom as a dedicated youth volunteer, arriving for shifts with a smile. He even taught first aid in his hometown, Moreshet, driven by a desire to equip the community with life-saving tools and skills.

Yakir loved soccer and basketball and was a strong, determined individual who sought to perform every task to the best of his ability. In the IDF, he served as a combat soldier in Battalion 13 of the Golani Brigade at the Paga Outpost.

On the morning of October 7th, he and his comrades fought a fierce battle against the terrorists who breached the outpost. When the terrorists attempted to set fire to the building where the soldiers were located, Yakir, along with four other soldiers, decided to go out and charge towards them. He continued to fight for hours until he fell.

Yakir was laid to rest in Kiryat Ata. He is survived by his parents, brothers, and sisters.

In his memory, a Magen David Adom ambulance bearing his name was dedicated, ensuring his mission to save lives continues.

May his memory be a blessing.
