Amishar began his journey with Magen David Adom as a youth volunteer at the Tiberias station. After moving to Eli, he continued his service, and for about a decade, he served as an EMT, ambulance driver, and head of the volunteer team in the community. Giving was an integral part of his personality; during his life, he even donated a kidney to a stranger.
Ariel Elmaliach, Chairman of the Eli community, described him as “a heart of kindness and helping others.”
Amishar was born and raised in Keshet in the Golan Heights. He was an educator, a man of Torah, family, and community, who deeply loved the Land of Israel, hiking through it and discovering new springs and places.
With the outbreak of the war, Amishar enlisted for reserve duty. He fell in battle in the southern Gaza Strip on March 8, 2024, while serving as a command post commander in the Commando Brigade.
He was laid to rest at the Mount Herzl Military Cemetery in Jerusalem. He is survived by his parents, his wife, four sons, and a daughter.
In 2026, a Magen David Adom bulletproof ambulance was inaugurated at the Eli emergency center in his memory and in memory of Nitai Meisels.
May his memory be a blessing.
