Fell at age 23

Alina began her journey at Magen David Adom as a dedicated youth volunteer in the Carmel Region, consistently volunteering from ninth grade until her fall. Saving lives was a supreme value for her, and she dedicated a significant portion of her free time to the Magen David Adom Haifa station. Her father, Michael, said of her during the Shiva: “She excelled in everything, and especially in her Magen David Adom volunteering, which was more important to her than anything else.”

Alina was an outstanding student at the Alliance School, specializing in leadership, ICT, and communications, and received certificates of excellence throughout the years. Her family and educators described a smart, diligent, and ambitious young woman with a captivating smile, who also excelled in sports.

On October 7th, Alina, an officer in the Home Front Command, was the duty officer at the Urim base. When terrorists infiltrated the base and breached the command center, she shielded her female soldiers with her body and engaged in a fierce firefight. Lavi, a Magen David Adom Haifa volunteer who knew her, recounted: “They say she saved her friends. I have no doubt at all that this is what happened.”

Alina fell in battle at the Urim base. As part of her commemoration, the Friends of Magen David Adom Association launched a campaign to raise donations for the purchase of a life-saving ambulance that will bear her name, with the desire to continue her path of saving lives through it.

Alina was laid to rest in the military cemetery in Haifa. She is survived by her parents and a brother.

In her memory, a Magen David Adom ambulance bearing her name was dedicated, to continue the work of saving lives.

May her memory be a blessing.
